VIDEO WORK
My work in New Zealand introduced me to the wonderful world of video - filming, producing, and editing. It was a process of trial and error, but I grew to love this new medium of visual storytelling.
Elder Chan: The Parkour Missionary
I filmed and edited this video on the last two days of my internship, using a Canon DSLR camera, YouTube footage and Adobe Premiere Pro.
The video was picked up by Meridian Magazine and LDS Living Magazine within 24 hours of release. It reached over 350,000 people on Facebook and was viewed over 90,000 times in the first two days, making it the area office's most successful video of 2018.
The Church in the Pacific at a Glance
I was assigned the role of "head producer" on this video, meaning I was responsible for the final outcome. I wrote the script, conducted the interviews, traveled across New Zealand directing the film crew, and worked together with the professional video editor to get the right look and feel for the finished product.
The video will be shared with opinion leaders and government officials in 17 different countries and territories as their first impression of the Church.
Arikinui Pecqueux: "Saints" is My Story
I filmed this video interview in two languages, then edited the final ads in Adobe Premiere Pro. Both versions performed very successfully on social media. Watch the French language version of the video (similar, but not identical) here.
Church Members React to Auckland Temple Announcement
The first video I filmed and edited for the church independently. Filmed on a Canon DSLR camera, edited on Adobe Premiere Pro. The video and accompanying article caught the attention of a reporter, who later wrote a story covering the announcement.
